- Blogging Friends are Friends IRL...

When it rains, it certainly pours here in London. I've never been one to complain about the weather and time of year, but wow, I really noticed my happiness levels increase once we leapt into February! Bring on Spring!

After several months (literally) I was blessed to be back in the presence of the beautiful Serene! Serene is more than a ‘blogging friend’ to me and after our catch-up I can confirm she’s a friend IRL (isn't blogging fab?!).

We had a lot to fill each other in on, so of course a coffee stop was a must. We headed to one of our faves just off Portobello Road, Farm girl café, to shelter from the endless rain.

During our meet-up we had planned to take outfit photos of each other and despite being sceptical and fearing the drowned rat look, Serene persuaded me to give it a go thanks to her trusty umbrella!

*warning: this post contains severe frizz*

I wanted to feature my new coat as I had been hunting for a smarter coat for months & months. I already have a casual parka and a standard black coat, so I wanted something a little different and in a more formal style. Over the Autumn months the shops were full of dark shades, which I do love, but they weren't what I was after. Then finally, my search came to an end when this sky blue number called out to me.

I decided to team it with a classic black outfit. Black skinny trousers are (and probably always will be) my go-to item and the jumper is a latest addition to my wardrobe – I just love how the “lettuce-edge” detailing adds a subtle girly touch. To emphasise the smart casual vibe I was going for, I completed the look with my trusty Nike Rosche runs.

Despite the weather doing its worst, I had such a lovely chilled afternoon hanging out with Serene… and thankfully, she’s just as crazy as I am! Make sure you check out her blog post about our outing here (her outfit was stunning)!

Have you made friends through blogging? I'm hoping to meet more of you blogging beauties in 2017!
