- Giveaway: Lee Stafford CoCo LoCo Wonderball...

I hope 2017 is treating you well so far. To thank those of you who have stuck by me for a while, to welcome any new readers and to celebrate my new blog layout that went live over Christmas, I thought I’d hold a giveaway for today’s post!

I recently had the oportunity to review the Lee Stafford Coco Loco Wonderball* (RRP: £29.99)… and I have another to give away to one of you lovelies!

Admittedly I’m not short of hair tools, but this new release is one that intrigued me immediately. Why? Because the barrel itself is infused with coconut oil! I’m sure a lot of you are aware of the countless beauty benefits coconut oil has to offer (if not, you can view one of my ancient posts here), particularly for hair, so in my eyes the team at Lee Stafford are geniuses for coming up with this.
Not only that, but they’ve also latched onto the swoon-worthy rose gold trend which is an absolute winner in my eyes. This tool is also classed as a 2 in 1 as it intends to create natural beachy waves by wrapping hair over the spheric sections, and tighter curls by wrapping hair in between the barrel - perfect for those who enjoy mixing up their style!

Aesthetics and claims aside, how does this tool actually perform?

Well, firstly it's worth mentioning this heats up faster than any hair tool I've used before - perfect for those bleary-eyed mornings where you've repeatedly hit the snooze button!

I'm not sure if it's just me, but when I heard about the coconut oil infused barrel, I feared it'd result in a greasy mop and result in a bit of a mess, but thankfully this is a little more high-tech than I expected!

Above is my result of natural beachy waves, which I love. Initially I found it difficult to place my hair on top of the spheres, but after a few attempts I realised this is achieved by using a lot larger sections of hair. This meant it's a super fast style to achieve, even with my long, thick hair, and overall it took me about 10 minutes.

Now for the more defined curls look. I was slightly more disappointed with this result as I was expecting more corkscrew curls. That aside, I do love the tighter boho curls this creates. It took about 20-25 minutes as a lot smaller sections of hair are needed to fit in between the barrel. Thankfully I wasn't left with the dreaded kink at the ends which a lot of curling tongs are guilty for and my hair didn't feel particularly damaged after use, but I can report back on that and the effectiveness of the added coconut oil after long-term use.

Both looks overall are very natural and you could even achieve a more tousled look by doing a mixture of the two looks- wrapping some hair on top of the barrel and some in between.

Now, onto the exciting part...giveaway time! If you'd like to win your own Wonderball, please fill out the form below:
