- Bank Holiday Weekend ft. Lighthouse...

Who else thinks long weekends should be a regular thing?

Me and Rob made the most of the recent bank holiday by having a nice, long walk along The Thames. Classic British weather struck with us not knowing whether the heavens would open or if the sun would grace us with its presence, which is where Lighthouse clothing comes in.

Known for creating waterproof, durable clothing, Lighthouse were kind enough to send both me and Rob an item from their range. Rob hasn't taken part in a 'blogging shoot' since over a year ago (here), despite being a big part of my little space on the Internet. As the person who shoots my photos, understands when I need to make time for my blog and doesn't mind trawling through makeup aisles, it was so nice to get him fully involved again (plus, he loved the posing...).

Rigger Waterproof Coat, £84.95*

Wearing the Rigger in Olive, Rob decided to team it with a turtleneck and chinos to keep things casual. The jacket also comes in 'Ink', but I think olive is such a practical, timeless colour. The added blue check lining adds an extra touch and would make a fab shirt print in my opinion. Despite being lightweight, the jacket is impressively windproof and waterproof. I'd say this is the perfect jacket to chuck on whilst complimenting every outfit.

Beachcomber, £49.95*

I decided to take a step into the unknown and chose the Beachcomber in the shade Sunbeam. I've been saying for months now that I wanted to extend the colour palette of my wardrobe, as I tend to typically opt for blue and green shades. This style also comes in Navy and Watermelon but I'm super happy I went for the yellow as, despite being so pale I'm almost invisible, I'm surprised by how much it suits me.

I chose to keep the rest of my outfit fairly simple with monochrome stripes and skinny jeans. I then decided to do a bit of pattern clashing with the floral shoes and finished the look off with a bright coral lip - definitely the first signs of Summer in my eyes.

We had a fab weekend and couldn't be happier with our coats, especially for this time of year - big thumbs up to Lighthouse!

And totally agree that long weekends should be a law, I feel SO much more refreshed on a Tuesday morning than I do on a Monday!

I saw that bottom picture on social media too this weekend (twitter maybe?!) - you guys are cute as tits.

  4. You both make such a gorgeous couple! I wish my husband would pose for an appearance on my blog but I would probably need to clobber him across his head so I could take a picture. LOL!
