I'm genuinely embarrassed by the lack of outfit posts on my blog lately.
Did I even post an AW15 one? Who knows. I blame moving and settling into the big smoke, the lack of daylight and the fact I hardly bought any new clothes during Winter (shocking, I know).
You may have read in my previous 'Sunday Summary' post (here), I spent last Saturday with Serene and Carolin gallivanting around Notting hill and Kensington. We stopped off to shoot a few outfit photos and let me tell you, they're the perfect duo!
When it came to deciding what to wear, I seemed to settle for a fairly Wintery getup. I was so tempted to layer up the beautiful jumpsuit I recently purchased but knew I'd regret it and end up shivering my bones off, so I chose comfort and practicality instead.
What happened? The sun actually decided to shine, and so I melted.
But I ended up loving the outfit anyway...
Faux fur with Autumnal mustard and berry shades thrown in may seem a little old now we're heading into Spring (woo), but this outfit is right up my street. The white trim of the faux fur jacket adds a lovely depth to the outfit, and who can say no to a polo/turtle neck?
As much as I adore pastels, when it comes to clothing I tend to reach for darker shades. I guess I play a little safe and think these suit me more, but for 2016 I'm going to make an effort to expand my wardrobe with colours and prints I wouldn't typically opt for.
So, whilst I love this outfit and feel 100% comfortable in it, let's see where my future outfit posts take me. Wish me luck with experimenting!
