- BonjourHK: Gold? Serum?...

If you've been reading my blog for a while (thank you!), then you'll know I'm a big fan of Asian skincare and beauty products. I've been lucky enough to collaborate with BonjourHK for over a year now (madness); the go-to place for such items. With free shipping worldwide and literally thousands of products available, I've made some amazing discoveries, and it's safe to say these products from across the globe are slowly taking over my collection.

As well as makeup items earning holy grail status, skincare products are also making more of an appearance. Asian skincare just seems so much more advanced compared to here in the UK and I'm so happy they can easily be accessed through BonjourHK.

This post will focus on a serum I was recently sent. Rewind to this time last year and I'm pretty sure serum was absent from my skincare regime, which is pretty bad for someone who has dry skin all year round. In case you're wondering what the purpose of a serum actually is, think of it as moisturising deeper layers of the skin, rather than a moisturiser which targets the skin surface. My love for using this skincare wonder has grown at a rapid rate and I now have several in my stash!

Despite the typical products I kindly receive from BonjourHK being affordable (like amazingly cheap), this serum lies on the more luxurious side of things. I seriously can't wait to try it out thoroughly, as I want to test whether paying that little bit more is really worth it.

Medicox Nano 24K Gold Sublime Stem Serum, £78*

As you can see, and probably tell from the name, this product contains 24K gold - SAY WHUUUT! Known as 'Golden Tree' in France, it's combined with plant stem cells and claims to revitalise and brighten skin. Listed functions include your typical purpose of a serum: plumping, anti-ageing and hydrating, but it also claims to give off '24K radiance' with instant effects. Sounds dreamy, right?

It's advised to apply one drop morning and night and I've been asked to trial it for a month before reporting back my results. Usually, I experiment with different skincare products and don't tend to stick to the same ones, but I'm going to religiously use this and report back to you. Fingers crossed this is as good as it looks and sounds!

If you can't wait a month to hear the results, then stay tuned for my next post which will be a BonjourHK haul - there's some gems!

Is your mind as blown as mine is? A serum with gold?

    Happy New Year 2016!

  2. I love the packaging of this! I haven't got a serum in my routine either and I really should. I was sent one but it was antiaging and so I gave it my mum haha, can't wait to see your month review of it.
    Pretty Mad Things .. xo

  3. I avoid buying any serums that is gold infused or anything along that line because it just seems so gimmicky to me. I look forward to your update, Karen!

  11. I haven't even tried a serum before let alone a gold infused one!! I am excited to hear what you think of it xxx

  12. Wow that is one hefty price tag. Curious to know if gold actually truly has properties to help the skin!

  13. I love how pretty the bottle is! It's lovely. I love hearing about unique brands and this serum sounds lovely and even better that it works so well so worth the price tag! (some don't really work the magic they say that they do) www.shehearts.net xx

  14. I love products with gold flecks. I've never purchased one because it's such a pretty penny but I've been tempted so many times. Anytime I get a sample of one they're completely amazing. But maybe it's just how fancy I feel.

  16. From my experience Asian beauty products are often some of the best. Hold in a moisturiser I have seen it all now, I hope you report back that it is good especially given the price Lucy x

  17. I purchased one after review and I found it is great! But I felt different function than it said. After 5 days, I feel my pores size reduced alot especially those acne infected areas. The skin seemed firmed and lifted (the wrinkle in my forehead reduced also). And most importantly, it just something like US$47~ I want to try other product in this brand, please share more review to give me more encouragement!
