- Themed Wishlist: Christmas Beauty Stocking...

1. // 2. // 3. // 4. // 5. // 6. // 7.

So December's here and I have to admit I had been a bit of a Scrooge for a while. I think because I'm still so busy and therefore feeling slightly unsettled, I hadn't really taken a step back. It's as if I was in denial about Christmas looming (how dare I?!). However, thanks to a fun festive event I attended this week (more on that later) and more and more Christmas posts cropping up on the blogosphere, I'm now feeling excited with that familiar warm, fuzzy feeling.

My 'themed wishlist' series is still a favourite of mine and it seemed silly not to involve Christmas somehow. In fact, I'm going for double the trouble by focusing on Christmas beauty today, followed by Christmas fashion tomorrow.

I was invited to collaborate with Urban Retreat*, and after browsing their website I immediately agreed. NARS, Hourglass, Laura Mercier... yep, this is definitely one to bookmark. Above is just a selection of what floated my boat/tickled my pickle/ rocked my beauty world...

First up, the elephant in the room: Swarovski Crystal Elixir Ultime K√ČRASTASE. Yep, this famous hair oil now arrives in an exclusive crystal covered bottle. What could be more ridiculous? Possibly the £250 price tag, *gulp*. Definitely ridiculous, but for some reason I just couldn't resist mentioning it. Whoever has that money to spend on a hair oil needs to tell me their secret. NOW PLEZ.

A product I hear mixed reviews about is the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Honey Bath. Sounds good enough to eat, right? Despite hearing numerous times it's not worth the price, this product has appealed to me for a long time. The cute honey dipper may have something to do with it. Sucker for packaging? Me?

Sticking with the same brand, but this time a product I've only heard rave reviews about, is the Tinted Moisturiser. Apparently shade 'Porcelain' is perfect for us paler ones and the formula is dreamy. If you're a tad on the oilier side, an oil-free version is also available. Next for make up are two cult beauties: NARS Velvet Matte lip pencils and the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette. I mean, do I even need to... *swoon*...

I've been trying to up my hair and skin care routines lately so the Aqua Splash Tangle Teezer caught my eye, as did the Sisley Black Rose Cream mask. Doesn't that name just scream luxury?! Despite another eye-watering price tag (£95.50), it literally sounds perfect for my skin type. A year or so ago I'd have ran a mile at the words 'anti-ageing' on a skin product, however, I've now learnt a lot more about what my skin needs and can identify a lot of these in such products. Moisture, hydration, brightening, resurfacing...you get the gist.

If the brands available have somehow failed to impress you, Urban Retreat also have a spa on the 5th floor of Harrods- eep! Take a look at this Moroccan Hammam spa - it's designed for you to escape city life and enter a relaxing Moroccan bubble. The experience involves three rooms with luxurious cleansing and polishing. I don't know about you but I definitely feel in need of a pamper right now, and reading further about their lava shell massages, full body polishes and facials is all a bit too much. Santa, I've been real good...

Have you heard of Urban Retreat before? What do you think of my top beauty picks?
Stay tuned tomorrow for some fashion finds!

  6. Slightly tempted to include the Hourglass palette in my wishlist but it's so expensive... and I probably wouldn't wear all the products in it. I'm definitely picking up one of their blushes though. They seem amazing! x
