- SteamCream Star...

You know those beauty products which immediately grab you and you end up wanting to try them out for ages, but you never get your hands on them for no reason in particular? Well, that happened with me and SteamCream.

That's until I was invited along to an event by CatalystPR back in July (I'm sorry, wut, July?!). Before the event I had a nosy at the brands that were due to flaunt their products and was thrilled to see SteamCream.

More information and photos from the event are in my previous post, but today I want to talk about this gem I was lucky enough to take away with me. I thought it was a tad ridiculous talking about Christmas gifts in Summer, but wow, where has time gone?!?

SteamCream Star, £8.95* (25ml)

Known for their adorable tin designs, SteamCream have created a few mini products for Christmas. I have the SteamCream Star which is a perfect stocking filler or surprise for the tree, but there's also a cracker available.

So despite the cute packaging, what else drew me to this moisturiser? Well, the clue's in the name as all of the ingredients are fused together with a shot of steam. This increases it's hydrating properties and improves the texture. Not only this, but all of the ingredients themselves are high-quality and natural: cocoa butter, jojoba oil, orange flower water, lavender oil; you get the gist.

I used to be slightly unsure about lavender, but the scent has definitely grown on me. It's so calming and soothing, and I've found this really feels like a treat when applying at nighttime. Despite this only being a 25ml tin, I'm not even half way yet as a little goes a long way. It works wonderfully for my dry and troubled skin, and I've also heard great reviews from those who have oilier skin.

To me, this is a great all-rounder no matter what skin type you are - there's no reason not to use it on your body too!

Have you tried SteamCream before? What do you think of this Christmas Star?

  1. Good morning Karen! Just returned to work an read your review. I've used my Steamcream for the last few weeks but in combination with stress and a shit diet I got some light acne so I stopped using it for now and hope my skin calms down soon. The packaging though is super festive and also makes a great Christmas tree decoration. Hope you're well and I'll see you after Christmas x
