- The Adult Crayons ft. Kiko...
Remember receiving a tin of new wax crayons back in the day and being too afraid to use them? The excitement was almost unbearable, as was the fear was ruining them. Well fast forward into adulthood, I've become just as protective over a different type of crayon: Makeup. Makeup pencils and crayons have taken the beauty world by storm in the past few years, particularly lip products. Super pigmented lip crayons with a matte finish were all the rage, followed by modified formulas for a glossier look. To me, it felt like this trend inspired brands to use a similar method in creating eye shadow products. And that's where cream eye shadow sticks come in. Kiko is a brand I've heard a lot about; loved for their high quality products for affordable prices. One of their standout products seems to be the long lasting stick eyeshadow crayons, which I've seen cropping up in a lot of bloggers/youtubers favourites recently. One of my best blogging buddies, Caz, very kindly picked me up shade 05 Rosy Brown, the most wonderful rose gold colour. Rose gold/copper is still hot on trend and I find it really flatters my blue eyes. I was amazed at just how creamy the formula of this is; it's almost buttery soft. It blends well, but you do have to act fast before it dries/settles. I simply use my finger as I find the warmth from my fingers helps work it in. Kiko claim it lasts for no shorter than 8 hours, and I can totally agree with this. It's definitely the longest lasting eye product I have in my collection! For £6.90 I really can't fault this and I'll be sure to pick up more - yay for more stores opening up across the UK! Have you tried Kiko eyeshadow sticks or any of their other products?
