- Everyday Makeup: Feeling Peachy...

peach everyday makeup products style sunrise

Autumn's here, bringing with it the return of iridescent skin and deep, dark lipstick shades. Whilst this is one of my favourite makeup looks (if not my absolute favourite), it's not one I choose to rock every day.

Bold lipstick may not be appropriate in some situations, plus it can be a lot of effort with reapplication if you're on the go all day. When it comes to everyday makeup, I tend to go for a fresh, neutral look.

For a while now, I've been immediately drawn to rosy pink shades, but recently, I've noticed my makeup has revolved around another colour: Peach.

2013 & 2014 were the years where I became obsessed with coral lipsticks. I'm talking bright, vibrant coral. However, during the recent Summer I realised it didn't really suit me, as it was far too bold for my pale skin tone and just not 'me'. I then took a look at cooler corals with pink undertones, and that's when I discovered the world of peach.

So, which products do I often reach for?

bonjourhk wowwow princess cheek #06dr paw paw peach balm

As you can see, I use two key products to create my peach look. Firstly, I use the WOWWOW Princess Cheek* in #06, which featured in my recent BonjourHK haul, on both my cheeks and eyelids. This may seem like a surprising choice for eyeshadow, but I love the flash of colour and how it contrasts with my blue peepers. It has a shimmer finish (but thankfully not too much), impressive pigmentation and blends beautifully. Also, I'm pleased to say the provided brush isn't as useless as similar ones you get in such compacts - hurrah!

If I'm after a dewy look, I'll then dab a tiny bit of the Dr. PAWPAW Balm* in Peach Pink onto my cheekbones too. To finish, I then glide some onto my lips for a beautifully tinted balm. Seriously, if you haven't tried these multi-purpose balms, you need to give them a whirl; I can't fault them!

I'm sure I'm not alone in being a nail polish addict, and I've definitely been extending this theme to my nails. A look I often create is two coats of Essie Tart Deco, along with a Barry M Matte White accent nail.

I've not been brave enough to introduce coral into my wardrobe just yet, but never say never!

  11. I remember when coral lipsticks were massive too, and I finally brought a few corals/oranges in the last year. They are really hard to pull off though so I blot them to make them a bit more wearable :)
