- #BLFW & Outfit of the Night...
London fashion week is just around the corner and to get us all in the mood, Danielle from @blogger_hangout organised #BLFW (Bloggers Love Fashion Week), an event where brands and bloggers had the chance to mingle, and for products to be showcased and tested. Held in a stunning venue, OXO Tower Wharf, with a dress code of 'All Black Chic', it sounded like the perfect opportunity to glam up. I wanted to wear something that was a bit different to my typical choice and had my heart set on a black jumpsuit. However, after perusing Oxford St. with no luck, I took to the internet and came across the Una Maxi Chiffon Shirt Dress from boohoo. All.Sorts.Of.Perfection. With my KG Carly heels* from Shoeaholics, fave bag and braid, along with copper eye makeup and a bold red lip, it was time to meet up with Carolin, who very kindly offered to take some outfit snaps. And what a pro photographer she is... The location really was spot on. It didn't feel overcrowded whatsoever and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. It was great to meet fellow bloggers, some who I've followed for a long time, as well as new faces, and chat to brand representatives in the gifting lounge. I have to admit, a lot of products didn't personally appeal to me (fusspot over here), but brands that stood out were Maison Ves; who create beautiful candles with a splash of social media hashtagging thrown in, Timeless Truth face masks; who have such an impressive range of sheet masks to offer, Miglio; who have swoon-worthy rose gold jewellery pieces and Boadice The Victorious, who create possibly the most luxurious perfume I've ever sampled. I was slightly gutted Paul & Joe weren't present for the evening session, as they combine two of my loves: beauty & cats! It was then time for a fun little catwalk show, which was a lot more professional than I was expecting. The vibrant, floating pieces were by far my favourite. I've really got into feminine, flowing fabrics lately so these scored highly on my radar! We then headed outside to the balcony where the sunset was sensational. There really is something about central London during dusk that's breathtaking. The Thames and St. Pauls in the distance looked glorious in the yellow-orange tones. Overall, it was a really fun evening out and clear that effort was taken - well done The Bloggers Hangout for pulling it off! What do you think of this outfit? Did you attend #BLFW?
