- Micro Cell Nail Repair...

We all have our beauty woes and niggles, and a main one for me is weak nails. Add a job that requires me to constantly be altering my nail polish, plus frequent bouldering (hello caked in chalk hands), and my nails are in desperate need of some TLC.

You can then imagine my excitement when healthy nail specialists, Micro Cell, were present at the CatalystPR event I attended a few weeks back. I hadn't heard of this brand previously, but me and my crap nails were immediately drawn in. It was so interesting to hear about the brand and realise just how much knowledge is behind their products; I guess they're not known as the world leader in nail repair solutions for nothing! After being talked through the brand and its products, we were kindly gifted some 4.5ml samples.

Nail Repair* £18.50 (for 12ml)

This is aimed to treat soft and brittle nails (most definitely mine) and protect them from breakages and tearing. Application is a bit of a pain and I'll let you decide whether you sway towards the #aintnobodygottimeforthat or 'ooh, hello results' side. Basically, you apply one layer and wear for two days, then on the third day you remove it and reapply.

It's recommended that this pattern is carried out for 2-3 weeks for the effects to be noticeable, so I'll let you know how I get on. After the treatment period it's advised to wear it weekly as a base coat, in order to maintain strong, healthy nails. It's also worth noting that a matte version is available if you prefer no shine, which I think is a fab idea as it also means males can use it if they're otherwise put off due to the shine.

Colour Repair* £14.50 (for 12ml)

As well as the Nail Repair, Micro Cell have branched out and released a Colour Repair range. I definitely love a splash of colour on my nails, so the fact this can be achieved with strengthening properties simultaneously is pretty much a godsend. The first thing I noticed about this is the serious shine and glossiness, it's so pretty! Also, the fact it claims to accelerate nail growth is an absolute winner in my eyes.

Micro Cell have stuck to the classic red, pink & nude shades, which is no bad thing if you ask me. How beautiful is this Raspberry Kiss shade?! I can't be the only one who's getting a tad excited for the return of Autumn/Winter berry shades. This will be the perfect nail polish shade to pair with vampy lips - Rimmel 107, anyone? ;)

Have you heard of this brand before? What do you think of these products?

*Products marked with an asterix (*) have been gifted. I only feature products/services to my personal taste and all opinions are 100% my own.

  5. That raspberry shade is so pretty and I personally don't think the application and removal every few days is a pain but then again, I love painting my nails. Do you have any idea if they are available worldwide?

  7. Would love to hear how you get on with the nail repair - I'm sooo guilty of covering up my nails with nail varnish because they look a state and it just makes them look worse! My nails are definitely in need of something like this
