- Sunday Summary: Theatre, Events & Home...

It's been another busy week for me; my diary was fully booked with me doing something every evening. Despite feeling tired, I'm not complaining as I prefer to maintain a good social/work balance. Plus, I've caught up on sleep this weekend - that's if you call 8.30am a lie-in...

I thought I'd do another one of my summary posts to show you what I've been up to - yay for more lifestyle posts!

I've been wanting to see The Book of Mormon for months now and the time finally came on Tuesday evening. I didn't know much about the show beforehand, as I was afraid I'd stumble upon any spoilers. All I knew was that it's created by the same people as South Park and it's meant to be the 'funniest thing ever'. I'll admit, whenever I read things like this I'm a bit like, "yeah, yeah", but honestly this.is.hilarious! So much so that my face ached at the end! It's clever, energetic and, you guessed it, laugh-out-loud throughout. I've not seen many shows, but when I have I'm always left amazed at the talent. This is definitely a must-see if you haven't seen it already!

On Wednesday, I headed to Chelsea to celebrate a friends birthday. This is when I was a bad egg as I failed to take a photograph. There were 16 of us and it was one of those occasions where I wanted to enjoy the event and not whack out my camera. We had a lovely meal & drinks at The Phene, which, despite being pricey (typical Chelsea), was super fun. For all you Made in Chelsea fans, the restaurant is owned by Lucy Watson's father. Fact of the day.

After having an incredible time at the CatalystPR event not long ago, I was thrilled to be invited to another one: the Manfrotto blog event.

Manfrotto make a huge range of camera and lighting equipment, and the event was all about improving blog photography. I was in awe at all of their products; from mini (teeny-tiny) tripods to softboxes and reflectors, they've literally thought of everything!

The entire event was really clever and clearly well-thought-out. Held in the Penthouse Suite of the Sanderson Hotel, in Oxford Circus, different arrangements had been laid out. In the bedroom, there was a cute breakfast in bed and clothes rail display; in the bathroom, there was a lovely area with jewellery and skincare essentials, and in the main room was a workout flat-lay, plus the most glorious #foodporn!

Each set-up was totally Instagram/Pinterest-worthy and showed how their products work and enhance an image. This event really was perfect for us bloggers who are addicted to social media and are constantly wanting to better our photography.

As I was leaving, I was handed a very generous goody bag. I can't wait to play around with the gadgets and experiment more with my photography. If anything catches your eye on the Manfrotto website, I have a 15% discount code to share with you: 'MAN110' (expires 31st August). I definitely have my eye on the LED light which rids those pesky shadows!

On Friday, I caught a train home for the weekend. I've found it's so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of London, so having a break in the countryside is always welcome. I've had a really relaxing time and yesterday I went for a lovely pub lunch with my family.

I hope you're enjoying these more frequent lifestyle posts of mine. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
