- Life Lately...

Now I feel more settled in London life, I thought I'd show you a selection of images I've taken recently. Most of them are taken from the weekend just gone and I feel they're a true representation of what I get up to, rather than showing you a glamorous one-off event. So here's a summary of how my life has been lately...

Commute: Despite still finding it hilarious the lengths people go to to get a train that's one minute before another, I feel like I've got used to commuting to and from central London.

#ShoePorn: With sales bombarding us all everywhere at the moment from shop windows to social media, they've been hard to avoid and I may have caved. I spotted these fawn coloured pointed flats in Zara and, at just £12.99, they were too hard to resist! LOVE them!

Coffee & Reading: It wouldn't be a commute without a quick visit to Caffè Nero now and then. As you may know from my 'Good Reads' series, I've recently got really back into reading and spend my commute with my nose stuck in a book. At the moment I'm loving 'Rose Madder' by Stephen King - keep your eyes peeled for it in my next installment.

Wimbledon: One year I'm really into following Wimbledon, the next I'm completely not. However, the initial was the case for this year - there was some superb tennis and I was always happy to delcare it Pimm's O'Clock.

#NationalPiñaColadaDay: Speaking of alcohol, last Friday saw the celebration of National Piña Cola Day. I have no idea who comes up with these days, but I think they're a fun addition! We had yummy homemade cocktails - definitely one of my favourite flavours!

BBQ: The sun thankfully shone for most of Saturday, meaning I headed to a friends for a BBQ. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos - I guess it's sometimes good to be in the moment and keep the camera away.

Fitness: To balance out the indulging of alcohol and BBQ food, I've managed to stick to regular exercise. Me and Rob have still been going on our frequent runs in the countryside (the weather was perfect on Saturday morning, which was when the photos above were taken). As well as this, I did a spot of yoga in the garden, where Mitten decided to join in.

I hope you enjoyed this round-up. Things have been pretty chilled at the moment and I feel like I'm in a good routine.

  28. Glad that you are now feeling settled. I am not sure you get used to the crowds, pushing and general bad manners of Londers. It is very easy to slip into becoming one so make sure you watch this. Lovely pics. Glad that you are enjoying some of our green spaces Lucy x
