- Dr. PAWPAW Balm...

In my post where I featured the recent CatalystPR event, I mentioned that one of the brands I had spotted beforehand, and recognised, was Dr. PAWPAW. I had heard and read a lot about the famous balm, with top make up artists declaring it an essential in their overflowing kits. Therefore, I was super excited to finally get my hands on it and learn more about the story of the brand.

Incase you didn't know (I didn't), pawpaw is another word for papaya - the key ingredient of these balms. The exotic fruit is rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals (and much more), making it the perfect ingredient for skincare products.

The DR. PAWPAW Original Clear balm, £6.95* is a multipurpose product, aiming to aid skin regeneration, help minimise the appearance of pores and moisturise lips, nails, skin and hair. It's also amazing to use on any burns or insect bites; the list is pretty much endless.

Alongside the original clear version, DR. PAWPAW decided to create two tinted additions to enable you to incorporate the balms further into your beauty routines. As you can see, Peach Pink (£6.95*) and Ultimate Red (£6.95*) are now available.

Due to their multiple uses the balms remind me of the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, but these may in fact override my love for it! The things I love about these is that they're not sticky at all and they're unscented. When swatching them, I was surprised at how thick and structured the formula is, as well as the level of pigmentation, but it easily blends in. The product itself feels smooth and the tinted versions leave a lovely, subtle hint of colour.

These balms are suitable all-year round, but are particularly perfect for creating a fresh Summer glow. I used all three balms to create my look in the image below: Original Clear as a highlighter, Pink Peach as a blusher and Ultimate Red as a lip tint. The Original Clear adds such a gorgeous gloss to skin which is unlike any of my other highlighting products, the Pink Peach is such a pretty shade which would suit all skin tones and the Ultimate Red provides both moisture and a lovely sheen to the lips.

Overall, I'm far from disappointed with these. In fact, I'm verging on obsessed. They're buildable, smooth and long-lasting, and have quickly become a make up must-have for me. Packaged in vibrant 25ml tubes (a little definitely goes a long way) at £6.95 each, or you can pick up all 3 for £13.90, they're super affordable too!

What do you think of these DR. PAWPAW balms? Have you tried any?
