- Summer Skin ft. InstaNatural

If you read my blog regularly, you've probably cottoned on to the fact that I much prefer a 'dewy' finish to skin over a matte one. I find it suits my skin type (dry/dehydrated) much better and perks up any dullness. With Summer underway, the glowing skin trend is at its peak, and there's no better time to flaunt some healthy luminosity.

There are thousands of beauty products currently out there all claiming to achieve the perfect glow, but for me, it all starts with the skin itself. Prepping the skin and sticking to a routine will ensure you have a healthy base, and beauty products will enhance this, rather than fake it.

InstaNatural serum and eye gel

I'm currently experimenting with different skincare products in order to re-establish my routine, so when I was asked to take part in an Amazon campaign, I jumped at the chance. I was very kindly sent the InstaNatural Hyaluronic Serum* and Youth Express Eye Gel* to try out and review on Amazon, but seeing as these both impressed me so much, I've decided to share them with you here!

Who else thought InstaNatural was nothing but a top trending hashtag on Instagram?...Just me?
Based in Florida, InstaNatural aims to enhance natural beauty with their vast range of organic products. If you seek products containing no nasties, then this brand is for you! You only have to glance at the ingredients to know they're skincare delights. Read below to learn more about each product.

Hyaluronic Serum:

Serum has been a product I've really wanted to incorporate into my routine more. It's so important to include, especially for me with dry/dehydrated skin, as it targets deeper layers of skin than your usual moisturiser.

The first thing that stood out to me with this is the quantity of product. Usually, products that arrive in a glass bottle with pipette are teeny tiny, however, this contains 60ml! Easily impressed? Me?...

I've been using this every morning and evening before applying moisturiser and can really see the effects. The pipette disperses the right amount of product to work with and despite the consistency being a gel, it massages in easily and absorbs quickly. I have to admit the smell isn't great for something you put on your face, but it's not too horrendous either. After taking a look at the key ingredients: hyaluronic acid (ALL the moisture), green tea, vitamin C and jojoba oil, I realised it's the green tea that stands out in the scent. It reminded me of the green tea frappuccinos I had in China. Good times. If green tea isn't your thing, you may not enjoy the scent, but you only have to think about the properties of each ingredient to see why this is effective.

Youth Express Eye Gel:

Coincidentally, another item I've been wanting to include more into my routine is one targeted towards the eye area. Previously, I've used the odd one here and there, and occasionally do a treatment (here), but I've now been using this eye gel twice daily.

One pump is definitely enough for use on both eyes, and it has a similar scent I'm indifferent about. Once again, it contains the skincare favourite, hyaluronic acid, so leaves the delicate eye area feeling super soft and hydrated. Further ingredients include vitamin E and jojoba oil (again), which are all known for their skin friendly properties. This claims to reduce puffiness and dark circles, and I can definitely say I feel (and look) more awake after using this.

I'll definitely continue to use both of these in my daily routines and will let you know if anything changes as time goes on, but for now, I couldn't be more impressed with their performance. With the serum (60ml) priced at £13.97 and the eye gel (50ml) at £14.95, these really are affordable products that are high performing! Bring on the Summer glow!

  6. The serum reminds me of OZ Naturals HA serum, both brands have almost similar name too, wonder if they are sister brands? I'm going to pick up this serum once my current one from OZ Naturals runs out, it'll be interesting to see how both work.
