- Saturday Summary: Life, London & Lobster...
I recently posted a 'Sunday Summary' which you can find here, and have decided that on weekends I'll publish a lifestyle post when I have something interesting to share. This will either be on a Saturday or Sunday as I post every other day. Hopefully these will be fairly regular, as I've recently landed a job in London and have relocated. This is super exciting for me not only for the career side of things, but also for my journey in the blogging world. A lot of people I interact with live in London, and I've previously had to miss out on several events so I'll now be able to attend future ones - yay! So here's a few photos of what I've been up to recently... The past week has been a really fun one for me. Me and Rob celebrated two years together and decided to head to Burger & Lobster in Soho. This place has no menu as you can guess from the name what they serve, and they strongly believe their team should interact on a more personal level with diners. I really liked this as there seems to be an increase in restaurants with a self-service tablet, but it was really interesting to learn about the food directly from the bubbly and upbeat team. We decided to have the best of both and shared a burger & lobster between us. Neither of us had had lobster before, but we were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be heading back. The burger was a-mazing too, really juicy and perfectly cooked. If you have any restaurant recommendations in London, feel free to leave them in the comments below as I'm forever adding to my list. After our meal, we then decided to head to Cahoots (also in Soho). This is a wartime themed bar hidden in an abandoned underground station which I had read about on the lovely Lucy's blog. We were lucky enough to get in (it's probably best to book and reserve a table) and really enjoyed it. You really do feel like you've been taken back in time with the décor, swing band and quirky cocktails - there was a vodka and garlic one, plus one with garden peas!
