- Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Moisturiser...

A few weeks ago, @BeautyatTesco ran a campaign to promote the Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara and the Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 moisturiser. The lovely Laura nominated me, so I got to choose which out of the two I'd like to try out. I actually already have (and love) the mascara, so opted for the moisturiser.

Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Moisturiser spf- Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Moisturiser spf

7 claims/promises in one moisturiser sounds like a lot to me, so I was looking forward to trying this multi-tasking product out. The 7 beauty benefits are as follows:

• Smoothes fine lines & wrinkles
• Helps maintain moisture
• Evens out skin tone
• Minimises appearance of pores
• Evens skin texture
• Enhances brightness
• Adds hydration

At the age of 23, I don't actively seek out anti-ageing products. However, I have dry/dehydrated skin and often think my complexion leans towards the dull side, so a lot of properties in these sorts of products appeals to me.

The first thing I noticed with this product is the convenience of the packaging. It comes with a pump and a lid, and contains 50ml of product in a compact, travel friendly tube. I also noted the pearly sheen which, after trying out, makes a lot of sense.

A little goes a long way with this white cream, so be careful not to go overboard. There's a faint scent which instantly made me think of Summer, then I remembered it contains SPF 15 and realised the smell is similar to sun cream. I usually worry about products with SPF clogging up my pores, so was pleasantly surprised to find this absorbs quickly and feels lightweight on. As long as I remember to thoroughly cleanse my face before bed, I haven't found any problems with this.

In my opinion, the main factor about this day moisturiser is the glow it provides. Even hours after application, my skin looked 'dewy' and had a subtle iridescent shine, without feeling like I was wearing an 'extra layer'. It certainly ticks the box for enhancing brightness and definitely perks my complexion up.

Overall, I'm really pleased with this moisturiser as I'm all about adding moisture to my skin and prefer glowing skin over a matte finish. It works well worn alone or underneath base makeup, and can be purchased for around £14.99 (although it seems to have offers at the moment). With the added SPF, this will be a definite Summer essential for me!

Have you tried this moisturiser before? Are you a fan of glowing skin?

  4. I got mine this week as well and really like it :) I'd have to apply a stronger SPF over it when it's really warm, but it's the perfect every day moisturiser and love the pump!

  6. This was the moisturizer that I used from the age 19 and throughout my 20s. I only stopped using it at the age 31 because I switched to high end products. But this works! I credit my good skin to it.

  10. It's great that it has an SPF, but I often wish more moisturizer used a high spf rating.
