- Glamglow Brightmud Eye Treatment...

Despite believing skincare is something worth investing in, I've had the Glamglow Thirstymud hydrating treatment on my wish list for a while now and still haven't got round to picking it up. Glamglow have recently branched out from face masks and have released a brightening eye treatment, which I was lucky enough to win. I wanted to share with you my experience of using it, and whether I think it's worth the price tag.

I had no idea what to expect from the Glamglow Brightmud and was definitely intrigued by it so tried it out immediately. Costing £45, the box contains 12 ChromeCells each with two pods of product. Each ChromeCell is aimed for a single treatment, however I found this was too much product and just the one pod provided enough for both eyes and surrounding areas.

The purpose of this eye treatment is to target dark circles and puffiness, and to hydrate the delicate eye area. Any product that claims to perk up dull, tired-looking skin immediately gets attention from me, so I was excited to give this a go. Containing six caffeine sources and peppermint leaf technology, the ingredients of this instantly sound promising. So how did it perform?

Firstly, I can't ignore the appearance of the treatment. With 'Brightmud' in the name I was expecting a mud/clay-like colour and texture, but I couldn't have been more wrong. In fact, once I had dabbed it to the under-eye area and the delicate skin above the lid, it definitely looked like I had faceplanted a vegetable stock cube. Thankfully though, the treatment is unscented.

As soon as I applied this, I could immediately feel the peppermint leaf technology come into action. It felt cooling, zingy and tingly, which thankfully wasn't too overpowering. It has to be one of the most refreshing face treatments I've experienced actually.

I was surprised to find that no water is required when using this, making it a great pamper treat for when you're on-the-go. After just 3 minutes, you simply use a clean tissue to wipe away all of the product.

I've already said I wasn't sure what I was expecting with this, I guess not a lot (always the sceptic), but I was very pleasantly surprised. My eye area instantly felt velvety soft and I definitely looked more awake and felt revitalised. This was just after one treatment too and the fact that applying a product for just 3 minutes can lead to these results is pretty remarkable. I'll definitely be using this regularly and have high hopes for it brightening the eye area further and reducing darkness.

Overall, this eye treatment wins on one of the oddest products I've used, but it really is a skincare gem. Is it worth the price? Using one pod for both eyes, it gets a yes from me - even if I do spend 3 minutes looking like a walking stock cube.

Have you tried this Glamglow Brightmud Eye Treatment, or any of the face masks? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I would have expected a thick mud too. I like the fact that it is not scented. I will have to give this a go Lucy x

  2. I've never tried it before but it sounds like something I'd try as I get such awful dark circles, serves me right for being up reading blogs or watching netflixs so late haha! Great recommendation :)

  3. This looks so weird. Love your 'face planted a stock cube' line. I would have expected a 'mud' formula/texture too. I have the Supermud face mask and it's really good. I'd love to give all of the different types a go but they're so damn expensive. I'm really intrigued by these eye sachets though. How fab that you managed to win them! xxx

  4. I toyed with buying this yesterday in duty-free but I opted for some MAC instead. I'd love to try the whole Glamglow range but they really are such an investment. You lucky girl :)

  6. I've never tried anything from GlamGlow because of the price, it's just too steep for me and probably cause a heart attack for my husband. It does sounds like a really good treatment but I'm not sure if I can justify the $$$ :-(

  9. I've seen their face masks around a lot, but this is the first time I've seen their eye pods. The results sound great, I could do with them myself :) Although I'm giving eye cream a go at the moment

  11. I also found that one pod was more then enough to cover both eyes. I managed to try these with my sample kit but when it came to buying the full sized packed I just though it was too pricey. Instead I much prefer splurging on the Clearmud & Thirstymud options x

  12. I have been wanting to purchase this for almost a year now, and so glad to hear it does the trick. The price hurts the wallet, but it may be worth it in the long run.

  13. 3 minutes doesn't sound like enough time to get results but I'm intrigued. My under eye is the area I like looking after the most, as it's the one that seems to age the quickest. Might give it a try at some point. x

  17. This eye treatment looks quite intriguing. It does appear a little bit suspicious at the beginning, but if the results are that good, I definitely want to try it :)

  18. I've only ever tried some samples I had (two packets - four pods). The first time around I spilt the treatment (one pod for each eye) but the second time around I used a pod on each eye and found that the treatment worked much better thay way. My eye area is quite dry and using the half pod meant the product dried too quickly and couldn't be "gently" wiped away. :-)
