- Sunday Pamper with BonjourHK...

It's time for another BonjourHK haul, and this time there's a pampering theme! Incase you didn't already know, on their website, there are thousands of beauty bits from Asian cosmetic brands available to purchase. With the well-known affordable prices and free worldwide shipping, it really is the perfect place to shop and experiment with Asian beauty products.

Whether you've had a stressful week and are wanting to relax before the next, or you simply want to feel prepped and preened, we all love a good pamper. Many of us don't have the time and/or the money to splash out on regular spa visits, but thankfully with many products currently on the market, you can treat yourself to some me-time from home. Read below to learn more about the recent products BonjourHK kindly sent me to try out.

Lion Cooling Sheet for Legs, £3.85*
Natural Foot Patch, Lavender & Titanium, £1.50* (each pack)

First up, are the Lion (the brand - nothing to do with the roaring, furry cat) Cooling Sheets for Legs. I mentioned in a previous post, how much I love that the use of a mask to treat an area extends further than just the face. In that post, I absolutely loved discovering masks designed specifcally for the eye area, and these Lion sheets here are targeted for the legs. Boasting a cooling effect, they'll be super refreshing on many occasions - after you've been on your feet all day at work, relaxing whilst on holiday, or if you've spent the day shopping 'til you've dropped. Personally, I'm going to save them after I've been on a run as they'd be perfect to soothe and relax the muscles. One pack contains 6 sheets - 3 for each leg as shown on the packaging.

Similarly are these Japanese Natural Foot Patches, which I was so intrigued by! You simply peel off the backing paper and stick the pad on top, before gently placing across the soles of your feet (don't worry, I won't plague you with images of my feet). The Lavender version aims to soothe and relieve your feet after a long tiring day, whereas the Titanium ones focus more on detoxing and removing waste from your body! I find the concept of these so interesting, they're based on reflexology and aim to promote blood circulation and increase relaxation! At just £1.50(!) per pack, they're such a fun thing to try out!

Kose Nail Polish Remover, £5.30*
A'pieu Take My Hands Nail Paraffin Pack, £3.75*

After treating your body to some TLC, there's nothing like an at-home manicure. During my usual routine, I begin by removing any old chipped nail polish, so this Kose Nail Polish Remover is perfect! This is like any other gentle remover, but how adorable is the packaging?! Plus, at around £5.50 you get 220ml of product which is great!

Then comes the choice of treating nails and leaving them to breathe, or to repaint them. For the initial option, enter the A'pieu Take My Hands Nail Paraffin Pack. This was another product that really intrigued me and, admittedly, at first I had no idea what it was. After some research, it turns out it's a nail treatment. It aims to clean fingertips and add shine and moisture to nails. I have a more in-depth post scheduled showing you exactly how it's used and the results, so stay tuned!

Kai Cuticle Ripper, £2.00*
OPI Nail Lacquer in #B46 Need Sunglasses?, £5.95*
NOB Nail Lacquer (Ultraviolet Top Coat), £4.80*

If I choose to repaint my nails then I start off by giving my cuticles some attention. This Kai Cuticle Ripper *wince* seems like the perfect tool to do this. Whilst I was travelling around China last Summer, I saw many nail technicians hard at work and they really seemed to know what they were doing. I'm guessing this Cuticle Ripper is aimed more towards those who suffer with thicker cuticles, and there's probably some special method to tend to these using this tool that I'm unaware of. For me though, it works perfectly for pushing them gently back as the nib is perfectly angled.

Once my cuticles are sorted, I then choose a nail shade. With the emerging sunshine here in the UK and more hours of daylight, OPI 'Need Sunglasses?' couldn't be more perfect. It's the ideal warm-toned yellow/orange to match your mood and brighten up any outfit. These 15ml OPI polishes can be quite pricey over here, but you can bag them for around £5 on BonjourHK with no shipping charge! Not forgetting a top coat to add shine and extend polish longevity, this NOB Ultraviolet Top Coat dries quickly and leaves nails glistening! I also really like that the handle of this is longer than average, adding ease to application!

I really enjoyed trying out and learning about these products. As always, the thoughtfully cute packaging of Asian beauty products gets a tick from me and there are so many fun, unique pieces to try out, such as the foot masks and nail paraffin pack. If you're looking to treat yourself or someone special with pamper treats, I urge you to check out BonjourHK for something a little different!

What do you think of these products? Have you tried any Asian beauty bits? Let me know in the comments!

  3. Lovely post Karen. I have been gifted by my friend with Asian face masks but I have never tried them. Maybe I should but then, if I did I know I will be hooked to them and I wouldn't know where to get them. Woah I'm worried before I even got started!

  5. You want to soak your nails in warm water first then use the cuticle remover, they're pretty simple to use and the cuticle should come away easy once soaked.
Great post I like looking at the stuff you buy from HK.

  18. Ooh I love the sound of the cuticle ripper, I think it will be where you basically stab the cuticle and rip it off? I love stuff like that hah! The nail paraffin thing sounds cool too, although how anyone would know what it is from the packaging is beyond me!
