- Step by Step: A'pieu Take My Hands Nail Paraffin Pack...

I had been giving my nails a break from the dark and glitzy party season polishes, but with Spring's arrival and its return of bright and pastel shades, I've happily been digging into my stash. With my indecisiveness and frequent repainting, it's important to treat nails to some TLC.

I have quite weak nails as it is, so any treatment products immediately gain my attention. You may have seen this A'pieu Take My Hands Nail Paraffin Pack* in my latest BonjourHK post (here) where I mentioned I was going to post a 'step by step' guide to show you how to use it and how it works. Firstly, I wanted to mention how adorable the packaging is - it reminds me of a tasty chilled dessert!

Incase you didn't see my previous post where this was featured, this product claims to clean, strengthen and moisturise nails. With key ingredients such as avocado oil, argan oil and vitamin E, I was super keen to try this out and observe its effectiveness. Read below for my tutorial.

STEP 1: First of all, remove the lid and surrounding cardboard packaging. As you can see, there is a blue dot; this indicates the temperature of the water.

STEP 2: Boil some water and leave to stand for a while - ideally you want it to be 80-90°C to melt the paraffin. Pour it in up to just above the blue dot. You'll notice the dot instantly switches to pink due to the increase in tempterature.

STEP 3: Leave the product to stand for a while until the dot begins to turn blue again, otherwise you may burn yourself! You'll notice that some of the paraffin floats to the surface.

STEP 4: It's now time to dip your fingertips into the product 3-4 times until they're fully coated. Then remove your fingertips from the pot and wait 10-15 minutes for the product to fully dry.

STEP 5: When drying, the paraffin moulds around your finger tips into a 'thimble' shape.

STEP 6: Once you've waited the 10-15 minutes, the moulds can easily be removed. Massage any leftover oil into your nails.

STEP 7: Gently tip out the water. Form a small hole into the bottom layer to ensure all water is removed from the paraffin.

STEP 7:The moulds or 'thimbles' you removed earlier should have been left in tact, so place any back into the pot. Now it's ready to use again!

Overall, I found this nail paraffin pack really fun and interesting to use! It's surprisingly easy and mess-free; it's also worth noting that the paraffin has no strong scent. I only demonstrated with one hand so I could take photos with my right, and I could instantly see a difference. My nails felt cleaner and a lot softer!

If you're looking for a great at-home nail treatment, I can't recommend this enough! Available to buy here from BonjourHK (free shipping) for just £3.75, it's a complete bargain and one pot can be used up to 6-8 times!

What do you think of this product? Have you tried anything like it before?

  9. Wow this is actually a really cool product - I remember when the nail salon in my hometown offered paraffin - it was quite expensive - so it's really cool that this at-home system is so affordable. I wonder how many times this can be used?

  20. I have never tried anything like this before! Only have the serum which I got from Korea a few years ago. The serum helps in strengthening the nails and skin :) However, I do love the colour of this product :)

  27. I use paraffin wax for my hands as they're very dry and suffer from eczema. I find it adds moisture and leaves my skin calm and hydrated.
Great simple way to do it at home without buying the hole paraffin wax bath!
