- Jeans Collection...

Similarly to my blouse post, today's post focuses on jeans and key pairs for every wardrobe. Jeans are the garment that really are worth spending the extra time dragging yourself around several shops, trying on numerous pairs, as there's nothing worse than a badly fitted pair (well, there probably is, but ya know).

Despite the 70's throwback this S/S with the return of flares, I'm sticking to my usual style of skinnies as they're what I feel most comfortable and confident in. I still haven't ventured towards the ripped knees either, eek. I really want to emphasise the importance of rocking a trend only if it suits you and you're comfortable when wearing it, not just because it's popular. I'm a long-term fan of Topshop's Leigh and Joni jeans, so this post will consist of my favourite go-to pairs in this style.

In my opinion, black skinny jeans are a must-have. When I'm feeling lazy or stuck in a rut with what to wear, I automatically reach for these. They're perfect to dress up or down, making them perfect for both daytime and evening. It's probably evident how much I wear these as they've faded a lot and have gradually lost their shape *sob*. As I wear black skinny jeans so often, I think it's about time I find a sturdier pair that will last longer. Do you have any recommendations? I'm thinking of trying out some in Zara.

I love that the colour of this pair are a darker shade of blue and that the acid wash is discrete. I've seen many pairs that have taken this look way too OTT, so the subtlety of these is perfect for me. It's something a bit different to a typical pair of jeans, but not too out there.

I absolutely love this pair. They're a great alternative to the typical blue denim wash and are a really unique shade that still manage to go with everything. They're a muted blue shade with a hint of grey and are great for casual days.

Despite berry being an autumnal colour, I do wear these all year round. I think this pair would have to be my favourite as they're the perfect mix of red/purple and are great to dress up for evenings. I tend to team them with either white or black for a classic look.

I have no idea what possessed me to purchase these, but I'm so glad I did because I've really grown to love them. They're perfect for sunny days or even to brighten up gloomy ones. Also, I'm going to put this out there: if you're single and ready to mingle, then consider these your "pulling trousers" - you can thank me later.

I'm so happy to welcome these back as they're pretty difficult to style over A/W. These were huge last S/S on the blogosphere and I couldn't resist picking myself up a pair. I've rekindled my love for them and can't wait to rock them again!

So there's a sneak peek at my favourite pairs of jeans. Despite my impressive ability of getting grass stains and spilling coffee down myself, I think this year is the year to get myself a white pair - woo!

What do you think of my favourites here? What are your go-to jeans like?

  1. I always stick to black jeans pretty much, but I really wish I was brave enough to wear a printed jean like your tile pair! They're gorgeous and perfect for Spring!

  2. Clumsy me ripped her favourite pair of jeans last year (I slid and fell, so I couldn't rescue them). Ever since I'm on the lookout for a new pair. Most of the time, my jeans fit the moment I buy them but then after the first wash they get baggy. Also on my list is a pair of black skinny jeggings and I've got a bright red pair of jeans hanging in my wardrobe. Haven't brought them out yet, they really are a statement. Hope you're well and we'll speak soon xx

  6. I've only started wearing skinny jeans a few months ago, I kid you not! LOL! All the years I avoided it because I was convince it made my thighs looked like sausages...the big, fat, lumpy type. I really need to get myself a black and printed pair of skinnies too, I'm more confident in one these days so I'm trying to get more colours and prints into my wardrobe. xx

I stopped wearing jeans when I gained weight but now that I've lost it again, I am so pumped to start wearing all of my jeans again! My favourite lately have been my Paige jeans - any style - they're just so comfy!

  19. Hey you,

I like the muted and dark one the most. I have a lot of jeans in this wine red/berry color. They always look good. Still, I don't like the acid and tile print jeans so much, but it always depends who wears it.

    Best regards! :)

  20. All of your jeans are stunning and I love them to bits. You have such a versatile collection!!
I'm thinking of getting some striped ones to make me look taller hahahaha :D

  21. If I had legs like you, I'd be in jeans all the time! I stick to skirts and dresses bc I feel I have quite large hips/legs and it makes me feel insecure. I know that's stupid, but hey, I stick to what I feel happy with :)

  33. The berry ones are GORGEOUS! Big big fan of your muted grey/blue ones too.

I'm gutted cos I've worn New Look's high-rise, super skinnies for years and they've recently changed the fabrics so they're much stretchier and don't fit as nicely :( so I'm back on the hunt for my perfect pair!

PS try the ripped ones. I thought I'd hate them but actually they're my faves now! So so comfy, cos the you can bend your knees more! Perfect for curling up in :) xx
