- Winter Lips...

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you probably would have heard of Bonjourhk by now - an online store that ships Asian cosmetics. Today I have a few lip products to show you which arrived in this lovely printed gift box.

Firstly, for lip care, are two Sunsmile Choosy Lip Masks. I received a Peach and a Milk scented one (£0.80* each), there are also honey, herb, and fruit ones available. I also received two lip beauty items - YUMÉI Triple Action Lip Reshaping in #08 (£13*) and FLORMAR Twist up Lipstick in #53 Cranberry (£5.75*).

When I first saw these masks, I was a bit taken aback as I had never heard of a mask specifically for lips before (just me?). I expected it to be a sachet full of liquid product similar to face masks, so was even more surprised when I opened them. Instead, these are lip patches which you place gently on top of lips for up to 30 minutes. I thought a milk flavour sounded slightly odd, but went with it, and in the end discovered that the patches didn't really hold a 'peach' or a 'milk' scent at all.

These are made in Korea and contain Vitamin E collagen & hyaluronic acid - making them super moisturising and refreshing. I think these would make a lovely addition to your pamper routine for something different, or something fun for a girly sleepover!

Now onto the lip beauty products. First is the YUMÉI Triple Action Lip Reshaping in #08 which has a lipstick on one end, and a gloss on the other. My initial thoughts were, "reshaping? that sounds scary" and "whoa, that's bloomin' bright!", but fear not to both reactions. Although this claims to be 'repairing, plumping & glowing' (hence triple action) it didn't 'plump' at all - which I didn't actually mind. Usually with lip plumpers you experience a subtle tingling sensation, which seemed to be lacking with this.

I do however agree that it 'repairs' and 'glows' as it feels really hydrating and the gloss is a lovely, lightweight formula. As for the shade, as you can see below (left image), this product applies a lot sheerer than it looks!

Lastly is the FLORMAR Twist up Lipstick in Cranberry which I was really pleased to see as I've definitely joined the lip crayon bandwagon. The formula of this is faultless as it doesn't dry out lips and the colour pigment & longevity are excellent. The shade is a gorgeous deep pink - perfect for Winter (see right image)!

What do you think of these products? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I'd never heard of lip masks either but they sound like an excellent idea (especially as I'm sat here coated in Vaseline trying to get rid of winter chap!). The colours look beautiful on the reshaping gloss and lipstick! Great honest review xx
