- The Body Shop Honey Bronzer...

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder, £13.00

Until now, I avoided using a bronzing powder in my everyday makeup routine. I impulsively bought one a few years ago, but a week or so afterwards, I caught the sight of myself in natural daylight and it literally looked like I had smeared a wodge of mud onto my face. Into the bin it went.

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you would have seen this bronzer in my previous wish list. I've heard a lot about this product lately from several bloggers; with many claiming it's the one for pale skin! Seeing as The Body Shop is one of my favourite shops at the moment and it has a lot of offers on, I decided to give this a go!

First of all, how pretty is the honey embossment? Almost too good to use! I chose the shade 01 Light due to the fear of looking orange and I'm so glad I did as this provides a lovely subtle hint of colour. The wash of colour this provides has no orange tinge and I really like that the finish is matte rather than shimmery. This bronzer has definitely gained a place in my makeup bag!

At £13 this isn't the cheapest bronzer, nor the priciest. In my opinion it is worth every penny as it's the perfect shade and will last for a while. Plus, The Body Shop always have fabulous offers on! The only thing I do regret is not purchasing this sooner!

Which bronzer do you use? Have you tried this one?

  1. Sounds great for paler skins. I do love the pattern on the bronzer too. I might have to try this out as I'm always looking for new make up to experiment with! Great review. X x

  3. I use powder but not a bronzer. Thos sounds like a good product to add a bit of colour in the winter months. I am quite pale so not sure how this would look when next in I will give the tester a go Lucy x

  5. I use bronzer every single day for my makeup routine. Bronzer and mascara are my two essentials, so I will probably give a try to this one. Thank you so much for sharing!!!

  10. I love this bronzer. Mine is also in the shade 01 Light and it's so subtle. I really like how natural it looks. Perfect for beginners or people like me, who doesn't like strong contour. :) x

  14. £13 is definitely not too bad a price if it's going to look good! I've bought bronzers in the past that look so unnatural it's almost embarrassing!

  15. I've had one too many bad bronzer experiences like you, and tend too steer clear. All the amazing reviews have made me want to try this one but I didn't to waste £13 on another bronzer that would turn me orange, but after reading this I think you have convinced me- thanks for the review, very helpful!

  20. I know what you mean about the mud on your face. When I first started bronzing years ago that's how it was with me as well. I've learned a thing or two not only about shade and tone, but application methods as well, since then. The Honey Bronzer is one I've been meaning to try for a while but have never gotten around to it. Thanks for reminding me!

  22. I am like you, I never use bronzer, it's the one step that I skip. I have read about this bronzer too, and it's always great reviews, wonder if they have a shade that suits medium skin tone.

  37. I agree, until you find the perfect shade bronzer you will think they are useless! When I started using bronzer I used a colour that was totally not for my skin and it made my cheeks look really muddy, however I use the soap and glory highlighter and bronzer now and I love it!
