- Bouncy Curls with Click 'n' Curl...

Quite frequently, a parcel arrives and gets me excited; this was one of those times. Hair & Whiskers recently got in touch, offering me to try out their new 'Click n Curl'*. This is such a clever concept as the handle can easily be detached, turning bristle brush heads into rollers. This means whilst the roller is in place for hair to cool and set, you can get on with using the handle for the next section of hair - genius!

There are two different sets available online to purchase. A Full set includes six rollers as well as the detachable handle, and is available in small, medium or large. As you can see from the image above, I was sent the Medium (purple) full set. Additionally, you can purchase Add On sets, which consist of four rollers and are also available in small (red), medium and large (blue). In my opinion, this is a great way of distributing the rollers as it accommodates all needs concerning the length of your hair & the size of curl you wish for.

The rollers themselves are vented to ensure a quicker drying time and the ceramic coat heats evenly and cools quickly. Furthermore, they each have a flat surface meaning they're able to stand-up when clicking on the handle. In fact, I think the ease of clicking on & off the handle is what's impressed me the most with these rollers! There's a satisfying click once it's attached, and it only takes a push of a small button to remove it.

Now for onto using Click n Curl - and it couldn't be more straightforward! After towel drying your hair, attach the handle onto a roller and treat it like you would a barrel brush, drying your hair from root to tip using your hairdryer. When the section is almost dry, tightly roll it up the barrel from tip to root. Once the barrel is in place, detach the handle and you essentially have a roller set in place! Continue to the next section, leaving the curls to cool and set before removing them.

In the instructions it stresses the importance of rolling hair up until it's tight against the scalp and to ensure you wriggle the roller about in order for the bristles to set in place. It took me a few attempts to get the roller to stay in place but I did kind of expect this due to my long thick hair which is über-heavy. If you have hair similar to mine, these rollers are something you just have to experiment with in order to find a way which works for you - it only took me a few times!

I can honestly say the Click n Curl is the quickest tool I've used to create curls in my hair. I'm so happy I now have an alternative method to using a small curling tong where hair has to be bone dry to begin with. With Click n Curl, drying & styling your hair are done in one which saves a lot of time.

The curls these rollers produce truthfully are the bounciest I've ever experienced and the added volume is super impressive.

You can purchase the Full set of Click n Curl here for £39.99* and the Add On sets here for £27.99*. I also have a discount code to share with you for £10 (!) off a full set! Simply type 'STYLESUNRISE10' at the cart stage.

What do you think of the Click n Curl? Will you be giving it a go?

  1. Wow, what a cool concept, I really like how the curls are so natural. I've always used a curlin wand but I find the curls are a bit artificial looking, I would definitely like to give this a go instead.

  2. You achieved such great curls with this. First time I used it I got more of a wave and a lot of volume which I liked, but I don't think I was keeping the curlers in tight enough. Will have to try again soon x

  10. Hi Karen :)

Your hair looks very natural and it seems to be very esay to create the effect with the curlers. It is a great (and very practical) concept, will hopefully replace the 10,000 brushes one usually has on the beauty desk :)

  20. Lovely curls! I've had terrible experience with round brushes so I'm little frightened to try it out (I got my all tangled and my brush was stuck). It's been awhile though so I'm sure I can use a brush without tangling my hair so I may want to try out! Plus, my hair is short so I doubt it'll tangle now that when I had short hair. Thank you for sharing!
