- Welcoming Autumn/Winter '14...

1. // 2. // 3. // 4. // 5. // 6. // 7. // 8.

With August nearing an end (what, how, why, when?) it's time to welcome back the darker evenings, cosy knits, fluffy socks & Winter coats. Whilst I've really enjoyed this year's Spring/Summer trends of tropical print and the usual pastels, I have to admit, I'm looking forward to emphasised textures and the return of berry shades, forest greens and navy blues. High street shops are gradually switching their stock over, so today I thought I'd show you a selection of what I've found.

1. Dark Red Floral Print Kimono, River Island, £40
As we all know, kimonos have been a huge trend so far this year, so why not continue them on into A/W? Dark florals are once again seen amongst this upcoming season and they are definitely one of my favourite prints. Layering is a huge theme in the colder months, so this would be perfect over a snuggly knit (such as no.6).

2. Nails Inc. Leather Effect Polish, £12
I am so intrigued by this nail effect and must try it. Available in both black and mulberry, it needs to make its way into my collection asap.

3. Lucky Midnight Crystal Necklace, La Luna Accessories, £9.99
I've recently discovered this brand and if boho style jewellery is your thing then this is for you. This Crystal necklace would really complete an A/W outfit in my opinion.

4. Rose Lace Dress, Tenner Store, £8
Eight pounds, I repeat, eight pounds! I'm such a huge fan of white or black lace dresses during winter months and this one is such a bargain!

5. French Connection Croc Effect Purse in Wine, ASOS, £40
The style. The colour. The effect. Look at it! When things are this beautiful, I choose not to perceive the steep price tag.

6. Cream Eyelash Crop Jumper, Select, £14
The return of the fluffy knits! This one could be layered and teamed with so many items, a staple for every wardrobe. Select are such an underrated brand in my opinion, their pieces are SO affordable!

7. Black Leather-Look Skirt, New Look, £14.99
Leather is a simple yet super stylish look when done right. I love the texture it provides to an outfit and this skirt is so versatile! *Cough, team it with the nail polish above, cough.*

8. Dark Red Block Heel Chelsea Boots, New Look, £24.99
Well aren't these just fabulous! Bored of the usual black/brown boots? Me too! If you haven't already guessed, burgundy is by far my favourite A/W colour!

I'd love to know what you think of these picks! Which trends are you looking forward to?

  2. Burgundy is my favourite A/W colour too so I love those boots! The jumper from Select is really nice as well, they definitely are pretty underrated as you can find some gems for so cheap if you just take the time to look.
I'm really looking forward to the textures to be honest, I love faux leather anyway and I have a few faux fur jackets that are due an outing!

  25. These are some great picks! I really love the burgundy/wine shades for A/W. I really love the New Look boots, I've seen a post with similar ones from Primark too - I'll definitely be getting some (probably from New Look as they fit my wider feet better!)! I have a lace dress that I love, it can be styled in so many different ways, making it versatile all year round! Xx
